Vol. 2 is dated 1831, printed by Whittingham, and published by J. Sharpe. Edward Lear's Blue and Yellow Macaw engraving in vol. 2 (p.125) precedes his landmark 1832 book of parrot lithographs. Other illustrations, innovatively drawn from the zoo's live specimens, by William Harvey. Very scuffed half calf, marbled boards, inked ownership from 1850, foxing and some fingerprints on margins; ex libris Albert Westlake; spine labels incomplete, with half-titles. 005610
