Barrow was Isaac Newton's teacher. He was gifted as a theologian, mathematician, and scientist. Barrow was the first holder of the Lucasian Professorship of Mathematics at Cambridge, the most famous academic chair in the world. He was succeeded in the chair by Newton, and the current occupant is Stephen Hawking. This volume also includes his "A Discourse Concerning the Unity of the Church."
